God is good.  I say this all the time, but sometimes the proof of that comes at strange times, like now, in the midst of horrible grief.  On Friday we met Joe’s body at the airport in a flag-draped coffin.  There are no words to describe it.

The family is all together now.  Tomorrow we have two of the three viewings, and the following day we have a procession, the final viewing, a service and then the military honors and burial followed by a fellowship meal.

And still God is good.  He is showing HIS grace to us through the church, as so many pray for us, feed us, meet our physical needs and give constant encouragement to us.  We have had childcare when we have needed it.  Today two godly men in our lives reviewed Jeremy’s sermon for the funeral and gave hearty thumbs up to Jeremy.  These are honest men who say that reading the sermon, it is evident that God has blessed Jeremy with a clear message for those who are grieving the loss of Joe.

For those of you who are praying for us, I am asking for you to plead with the Lord to speak to many through Jeremy and others who speak at Joe’s funeral on Tuesday.  Jeremy should be standing up to preach at about 11:15 for about 10-15 minutes.

Praising God for His goodness to us.  Indeed, all HE does is right and without injustice (Deuteronomy 32:4)

Shana and I will be and are praying for you guys. I will be praying for Jeremy that God will use him during the service to honor his brother and the Lord faithfully. Will also be praying for comfort and strength as you all are ministering and are being ministered to.

yes, our God is just and right in all His doings, even though our finite minds can not fathom, He is accomplishing His will on earth and in Heaven. In these three years of missing our little Joel , so true that grace and the truth of scriptures has been my stay!

May God use you Jeremy to deliver hope to the hopeless, encouragement to the grieving, truth to prisoners of sin and power to those that see all this as God doing His will!

We will continue to ask for God’s grace and comfort to rain down on all of you. Jeremy, we’ll be praying that God will give you the strength to speak and that hearts will be comforted and lives changed for God’s glory.

Love and Prayers,
