Provisions for the Summer – Moving on Up

God has been so very good to us (much better than we deserve – not just about our summer plans, but in all He has given us since the beginning of time into eternity!) Details have been worked out for us to spend some time visiting friends and family in DC (including Daddy on weekends of course.) We will fly to Miami on June 5th, drive up to South Carolina with Aunt Naomi (my sister), pick up “Gunka Johnny” (my brother) and drive to Maryland. We will visit Aunt Roseann on the way through North Carolina. It will be a few days of driving, but broken up into small chunks with some aunt or uncle in the car to distract the children.

When we get to Maryland, we will house-sit for a friend of a friend. God provided so that it is a mutually beneficial arrangement – they are moving to another state and needs someone to watch their house for them until it sells, and we need somewhere to stay close to Fort Meade! It is so perfect! We will stay in Maryland until the house sells or until we get sick of being away from our own house. We plan to spend a lot of time outdoors, visiting sites and parks and traveling to visit family and friends within a day’s drive of DC.

So. . .we are moving up in luxury. . .

I’m selling my Chevrolet Impala (that we so enjoyed)

and picking up our new Dodge Grand Caravan in Florida.

We bought our Impala on Ebay, now I sell it on Ebay for a van also bought on Ebay! Some people say we are brave. I don’t know if it’s brave, thrifty or dumb. Maybe a combination!

Jeremy is doing well at school so far. He has passed his first test (yes, it is only day two!) and has made some great contacts with some Godly men. . . the chapel has a bible study and pizza twice a week at lunch time – Jeremy loves that. . . free lunch AND a bible study – what more could you ask for right?!

To God be the glory GREAT things He has done!

Hi Adina! We are so glad you get to go to MD! By the way–we just sold our Dodge Grand Caravan. We loved it! The only reason we sold it was because we were outgrowing it. But they are great vans. We ended up buying an old Dodge 15 passenger that still runs great. So I guess we like Dodge.

Thanks for your e-mail. I appreciate your true friendship.

Love you,

If you guys meet Jake McCarthy during the training, tell him hi! He is a good friend of my husbands and we were all stationed together in the Azores!

Hey Deb! What course would Jake McCarthy be taking? Or better yet, what career field is he in? There are tons of Air Force folks here.

Something to do with video broadcasting, he is there from Nellis! He was a comm troop!
